Questions
- Do I need an account?
- No. No TeslaDrop account, no Tesla account, no email. Open the site in the car, scan, send.
- Does this use the Tesla app or dashcam?
- No. TeslaDrop is a web page. Open tesladrop.app in the car browser. Scan from your phone. You do not use the Tesla phone app.
- Why does video need Park?
- Tesla only allows video playback while the car is parked. Photos, links, and notes still show.
- How long do files stay?
- 24 hours, then the screen expires and files are deleted. Do not send anything you would not want a passenger to see.
- Can more than one phone send?
- Yes. Anyone who scans the QR (or has the drop link) can send until the screen expires.
- Can I share from Photos or WhatsApp?
- On Android, add TeslaDrop to your Home Screen — it then appears in the share sheet. On iPhone, pick files in TeslaDrop; for Maps and YouTube links, use the iPhone Shortcut (no App Store app).
